General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) - Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst)

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) and Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) brotherly bond continues to grow, something that we wouldn’t have seen coming even last year!

Both Ric and Sonny have been trying to put aside their major differences and unite. After all, they’re brothers, and Ric feels that he wants to have a good relationship with his family members. Now, we’re seeing how this close bond may pay off, especially as things are so tense in Port Charles at the moment, what with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) being taken away by the WSB and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) obsessed with taking down Sonny.

Official General Hospital spoilers confirm that Sonny makes a request of Ric on Friday, April 10, 2026.

This request could be related to just about anything. However, recently Sonny and Ric have been hyper-focused on trying to calm down Sidwell and help him see that Sonny isn’t responsible for Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) death.

So, will Ric pull through for Sonny and continue to grow close with his brother?

General Hospital Spoilers: Ric Pushes Sonny to Stop War With Sidwell

Recently on GH, Ric encouraged Sonny to attend Marco’s funeral and talk to Sidwell face-to-face — a suggestion that didn’t sit well with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). However, Sonny felt it was a good idea, as he doesn’t want a war with Sidwell.

Though Sonny warned Sidwell at the funeral, Sidwell remains convinced that Sonny killed Marco. He wants revenge. General Hospital spoilers suggest that Sidwell’s grief will continue to drive many of his thoughts and actions.

Ric’s trying his best to keep a war between Sidwell and Sonny from breaking out. So far, only a few people know that WSB Agent Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) is the person who brutally stabbed Marco. If Ric could somehow learn the truth — from Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), or Nathan West/Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) — he could tell Sidwell who Marco’s murderer really is.

But Nathan doesn’t want the truth coming out, as it could hurt Britt’s chances of living. As long as Sidwell thinks Sonny killed his son, however, Sonny and his family remain in danger.

Jason’s Arrest Brings Unintended Consequences to GH

Meanwhile, Jason’s arrest by the WSB — and subsequent disappearance from Port Charles, as the WSB took him away — continues to drive many storylines. These new General Hospital spoilers could have something to do with Jason.

After all, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyck), Jason’s son, is struggling to deal with life without his father. Danny recently went to Sonny, wanting to basically be a part of his mob life, but Sonny rejected him. That didn’t stop Danny from overhearing Sonny and Ric speaking of Sidwell being responsible for Jason’s disappearance.

Danny and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) recently seemed to get into a car crash. Carly quickly came to their aid, and a Corinthos car company managed to get to the car and take it away. So, could Sonny’s request of Ric have something to do with this storyline?

Regardless of what, exactly, Sonny asks Ric to do, it’s clear that the two brothers remain in a tense situation. However, despite it all, it appears that they both can rely on each other, which is something new, to say the least!
