General Hospital spoilers confirm that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will make a decision together on Friday, August 28, 2026. So far, that’s as specific as the spoilers get.
However, this little decision comes at a very interesting time. After all, Carly and Valentin aren’t just an unlikely pair testing the waters and seeing how much they might work. The two work, against all odds. Their romance has become increasingly serious over the past few weeks. Plus, now that Valentin is no longer on the run, their romance isn’t in hiding.
Of course, many people don’t like the idea of them together. This week, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) shares a few scenes with them, which might bring some drama to the couple. Could this decision have anything to do with Jason?
Carly and Valentin’s Love Story Continues on GH
Carly and Valentin’s relationship first began on GH under highly unconventional circumstances, to say the least. Originally, Carly turned to Valentin for help in her quest to strike back at Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) after Brennan, Carly’s boyfriend at the time, recruited Carly’s daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), into the WSB.
Eventually, this partnership became romantic as Carly allowed Valentin to live at her house while he was still in hiding. Valentin later surrendered to the WSB as part of his effort to protect Josslyn.
However, once Valentin was free and cleared, his relationship with Carly went public when he kissed her in front of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins). As previous General Hospital spoilers hinted at, Sonny wasn’t too pleased about this romance, and he warned Carly about Valentin’s history. However, Carly refused to end her relationship.
Of course, everything isn’t perfect in this romance. Can the two really trust each other fully? Not too long ago, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) gave Carly a flash drive that contained evidence against Valentin. He told her to keep it in case she ever needed a way out of the relationship.
Later, Carly was honest with Valentin about Brick’s offer… to a certain extent. She told Valentin that Brick had offered to fill her in on his crimes, but that she had turned him down. She seemingly forgot to reveal to her beau that she had kept Brick’s drive.
Regardless, it’s clear the two have very real feelings for each other. Recently, when Carly questioned whether they would even be together in the future, Valentin reassured her that he hoped they would be.
But could these new General Hospital spoilers be hinting that the two are about to face some new drama that could impact their romance?

These latest spoilers hint that the two have to make a new decision. Knowing these two, it could indeed make them cross some new line… or it could be something rather undramatic.
Other General Hospital spoilers for the week hint that it could even revolve around Jason. Recently, Jason told Carly that he stopped working for Sonny. He made this monumental decision because he wanted to prioritize his family and his children. Later, he told his love Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) that he was going to help at ELQ instead of returning to his old life with Sonny.
On Monday, Valentin makes a pitch to Jason after receiving an icy reception from him. Meanwhile, General Hospital spoilers also hint that on Tuesday, Jason encourages Carly. By Friday, this decision between Carly and Valentin is made. So, Jason might indeed have a lot to do with this latest spoiler.
