Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is preparing to make his move against EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) on Monday, August 3, 2026. Rafe wants to bring down EJ once and for all. But will he finally be successful?
Rafe’s latest moves come after Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) handed him a written confession that could connect EJ to the abduction of Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte). After all this time — after all of his many efforts — Rafe finally has a document that ties EJ to a specific crime. However, is this truly enough to take down the DiMera heir?
Rafe Continues to Build His Case Against EJ
It’s not a secret that Rafe hates EJ. Recently, Rafe has been working to officially bring EJ down for his many crimes over the years. His most recent investigation turned in his favor when Cat gave him a letter written by Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).
In this letter, Gwen allegedly confessed that she and EJ both conspired to kidnap Dimitri to prevent him from divorcing her. Gwen didn’t want her access to his fortune to be cut off. She and EJ were clear partners in crime.
Initially, Rafe noted that Dimitri had been held in Alamainia — which was outside his jurisdiction. However, Cat then supplied a crucial detail: Dimitri’s abduction began on American soil. Now, Rafe has the missing evidence he was looking for to legally take down EJ.
Of course, this letter is just a cherry on top of all of the investigating on EJ he’s been doing for the past few months. With Cat’s help — won’t EJ be surprised that she has betrayed him? — Rafe has been building a case on EJ’s illegal actions.
Other new Days of Our Lives spoilers may complicate things for Rafe, though. In the next few episodes, Rafe is set to tell Cat that EJ isn’t behind Gwen’s current disappearance, as many believe. Instead, it was Dimitri who had kidnapped Gwen and taken her to Alamainia. Now, Dimitri is holding her there with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).
So, EJ is cleared of this most recent kidnapping charge — but that doesn’t mean he didn’t commit these past crimes.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Rafe’s Next Move to Destroy EJ
Other obstacles are still in the way of Rafe successfully bringing down EJ. For example, Cat obtained the confession in a not-so-legal way. She hacked into Gwen’s attorney’s computer and took the letter. If this were to go to a court of law, EJ could easily challenge the document’s authenticity.
As a result, Rafe might need a few witnesses on his side to admit that EJ was behind Dimitri’s kidnapping. Could Gwen side with Rafe to bring EJ down? Who knows, really!
Though new Days of our Lives spoilers hint that EJ feels the world crashing down on him — thanks to all of his many horrendous moves as of late — they don’t say that EJ loses. They also don’t hint that Rafe is going to beat the DiMera he has hated for so long.
However, because of all of this drama that EJ has going on at the moment, he could slip up at any moment — and Rafe will be waiting for this moment surely.
Rafe and EJ’s rivalry is personal. Though Rafe may be trying to follow the law in his quest to bring EJ down, make no mistake: Rafe hates EJ and will do whatever it takes to see him behind bars.
But after all these years, Rafe hasn’t managed to successfully take down EJ yet… and there’s no indication that he will now.
