Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord)

Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) warns Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) on Monday, July 27, 2026, as Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) disappearance raises fears that EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) could target anyone who potentially threatens his control.

So far, Cat has managed to stay one step ahead of EJ. But with Marlena’s warning, could Cat find herself directly in EJ’s path?

    Cat’s Investigation Into EJ DiMera

Recently on DOOL, Cat has gone out of her way to integrate herself into EJ’s life. She’s successfully done this by becoming his assistant. Even after Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) cautioned her about the DiMeras and how they could hurt her, Cat has stayed on.

Though Cat is working with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to investigate EJ, it’s clear that she has grown close to the DiMera heir. As a result, her position as his assistant has become increasingly personal — and increasingly dangerous.

And then, things got seriously dangerous. Right when it looked like Gwen was going to take control of Salem University Hospital — only amid sanctions against EJ — she up and vanished. Rather abruptly.

Per recent Days of Our Lives spoilers, Cat immediately suspected EJ was behind Gwen’s sudden disappearance. She contacted Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) and asked him to trace Gwen’s phone, believing that EJ was responsible. Cat also questioned EJ about the hospital sale — and went so far as to challenge whether Gwen’s vanishment benefited him rather conveniently.

All of this eventually led to Cat accessing Gwen’s “Give to Leo Stark” folder, though she found it, downloaded it… and then deleted it.

Further complicating things, Cat has a possibly very real connection to EJ. Though she has always known not to get attached to him, she has, even as she works to investigate him. EJ has similarly grown attached to his assistant and recently told her that he didn’t know what he would ever do if he didn’t have her beside him. She reassured him by saying she was staying on.

Marlena now appears fearful that Cat might be underestimating the very powerful man she’s investigating.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Marlena Warns Cat About EJ

It looks like Marlena is ready to intervene in Cat’s life — and perhaps save it in the process. But will Marlena truly be able to get through to Cat? Or will Cat continue to investigate EJ, while at the same time getting even closer to him?

Days of Our Lives spoilers for this week also hint that Marlena will urge him to listen to his conscience on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) will fear that her son is turning more and more into his father.

Clearly, those who have known EJ for much of his life are worried about who he is becoming. He is becoming more ruthless — and more like Stefano — each day.

Will Cat stick around… and stay by his side? She could share what she knows and help expose the truth about what happened to Gwen, especially if EJ is behind it. However, she could also protect her access to EJ… and risk becoming compromised with each day.

Plus, there’s always the chance that EJ could find out that she has been working with Rafe and investigating him. That won’t go over well for her.

So far, Cat hasn’t become EJ’s next target. But with Marlena’s warning ringing in her ears, Cat may soon find herself in EJ’s dangerous path.
