Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that while Chad DiMera (Connor Floyd) may be back in Salem, his reappearance isn’t going to stop his older brother, EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel), from continuing to grow closer to Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord)!
Chad hasn’t been back in town for a bit. During this time, EJ has definitely connected with his assistant, Cat. The two have even shared a kiss!
However, that doesn’t mean a real romance is going to form between the two anytime soon. After all, EJ isn’t aware that Cat is working with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to bring him down. He’s also not aware that it was Cat who unlocked the door to allow Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) to be saved… and that led the police to realize that there was an empty medical pod that previously held someone. A pod that leads right back to EJ.
Once EJ finds out what Cat has been up to, he’ll, of course, make it his mission to destroy her and get revenge. This is EJ, after all. But until then, it appears the two will continue to bond. Official Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, EJ vents to Cat.
EJ & Cat Grow Closer on DOOL
Though Cat is working with Rafe at the moment, it’s clear that she feels herself growing closer to EJ. There have definitely been moments where Cat seems to be falling under EJ’s spell… but she hasn’t fully fallen for him yet. Will she ever?
After all, she does know what he’s capable of, and she seems very determined to help Rafe uncover who was in that medical pod — and what EJ is actually up to. As Cat works to uncover all of EJ’s secrets, will she find herself in an actual relationship with him? If so, her betrayal will definitely cut him deep.
We also can’t forget Chad. Though there haven’t been any new Days of Our Lives spoilers that indicate that Chad will try to find a way to be with Cat again, the two have a major history. Sure, Abigail Deveraux’s parents don’t want him with Cat — and have made it so he legally cannot — but this is a soap opera. Chad and Cat may very well find their way back to each other.
So far, that hasn’t happened. In fact, since Chad has been back in Salem, he’s been more focused on Abigail than anything. He — like Rafe — is convinced that Abigail was the person in the medical pod. He’s not too happy about this. After all, EJ and Abigail have their own history, don’t they?
Once Chad finds out that the person in the medical pod is Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford), will he give up on Abigail returning to him? Could he turn to Cat, yet again? Where will this all leave EJ and Cat’s interesting relationship?
