Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is back in a familiar and increasingly dangerous position: he’s not telling his wife, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), the entire truth. As a result, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, official DAYS spoilers hint that Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) urges him to come clean to Chanel.

While the official spoiler doesn’t reveal exactly what Paulina wants Johnny to confess, there’s quite a lot Johnny could confess. Johnny has a habit of protecting his father, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), and this fact has already damaged his relationship with Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews). Chanel, so far, has remained partly outside of the full truth.

The timing of this urging couldn’t be worse. After all, Johnny and Chanel have only just welcomed their daughter, little Olivia Alexandra DiMera, into the world. Unfortunately, Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) death and all these DiMera secrets now hang over the couple’s new happy chapter.

Johnny’s Secrets With EJ Threaten to Unravel

Johnny’s most immediate problem traces back to Lexie’s final days. When Johnny first learned that Lexie was secretly staying in the DiMera tunnels, as she did not want Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Theo to have to watch her die again, he chose to stay silent. EJ told his son that he was honoring Lexie’s wishes in this way.

However, when Theo and Lani Price (Sal Stowers) became suspicious about Lexie’s disappearance, Johnny chose not to expose his father — and lied by telling them that EJ knew nothing.

Of course, as previous Days of Our Lives spoilers confirmed, this lie was exposed. Theo realized that Johnny had known the truth all along and confronted him. Theo accused his cousin of costing him precious time with his mother. Johnny, clearly guilty, admitted this situation to Paulina. 

Paulina, who knows how dangerous EJ can be only too well, warned him about allowing his father to continue to pull him into secrets that affect others. She also rightly pointed out that Chanel had previously feared that Johnny would put his father ahead of her, his wife.

Things have changed slightly now that Lexie has died. Before she passed away, she made sure to make it clear to all that EJ had not been holding her against her will. As previous Days of Our Lives spoilers hinted at, she even told Abe and Theo that EJ encouraged her to tell them the truth. However, she refused and asked him to lie for her. She didn’t want to hurt them again.

Lexie’s admittance makes Johnny’s decision morally complicated — without a doubt. Unfortunately for him, it doesn’t erase the fact that he lied directly to Theo. Theo might not be ready to forgive him anytime soon.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Johnny Has a Lot to Worry About

This latest storyline is a part of a much larger pattern involving EJ and Johnny. After all, it’s not the only secret Johnny is keeping for his father. Recently, Johnny learned that arsenic-contaminated Coriseal produced by DiMera Pharmaceuticals had been disposed of on Smith Island.

Instead of publicly exposing the company’s connection to this poisoning, Johnny secretly planted an arsenic reference in Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) office. This clue helped Sarah identify what was poisoning Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). However, even after helping in this subtle way, Johnny continued protecting the cover-up. Later, he even admitted to EJ that he had lied to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) about what he had found in the company’s records.

Now, these new Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Johnny might find himself in an uncomfortable position with Chanel. Paulina is urging him to tell the truth. Though this is likely about Theo and Lexie, it could also be about all the other secrets Johnny is keeping for his father.

After all, Johnny himself has worried about the possibility that Chanel’s cancer could be from his father’s company. Chanel already knows that arsenic was discovered in the Horton cabin’s well water. Both of them have questioned whether her own exposure to it could be connected to her cancer. However, the show has yet to actually establish that this caused Chanel’s cancer.

If this indeed is what caused her cancer, Chanel might not be too happy to hear of all the ways Johnny has tried to cover it up. Holly almost died from the poisoning. Chanel has cancer, potentially from it. And Johnny is helping his father hide their complicity from the world? It doesn’t look good for Johnny.

Though these Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday likely deal with Lexie and Johnny’s lies to Theo — which Chanel won’t love to hear — it’s important to remember that Johnny is, in many ways, in over his head. He has aligned himself with his father… again.
