Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) might be at another breaking point with her husband, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson). On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Stephanie turns to Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) when Alex upsets her. Just how far will Stephanie’s turn to Theo go?
For many DOOL viewers, this isn’t too much of a shock. After all, Stephanie and Theo have repeatedly turned to each other for support in recent weeks. Stephanie has been struggling as Alex’s responsibilities to Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) and his daughter Kelsey Kiriakis continue to take over his life. This has created tension inside their marriage — and it doesn’t look as if their problems are going to go away anytime soon.
Once again, Stephanie is turning to Theo. Could this escalate yet another huge fight between Alex and Stephanie?

A Love Triangle Between Alex/Stephanie/Theo?
Though Alex and Stephanie married earlier this year, they’ve never really had a chance to be newlyweds — or bask in their new marriage. Drama has always been right around the corner, thanks to Stephanie’s stalker — and her kidnapping — and then the arrival of Joy and Kelsey.
As previous Days of Our Lives spoilers hinted at, Alex and Stephanie’s marriage dramatically changed when Joy returned to Salem with Kelsey, Alex’s daughter. Of course, since then, things have only gotten worse between Joy, Alex, and Stephanie.
After Stephanie took sleeping pills, she woke up disoriented and mistook Joy for an intruder. Stephanie fired a gun and, while she missed Joy, the incident gave Joy a reason to seriously question whether Kelsey was safe around Stephanie. It also created a custody-related problem between her and Alex.
This eventually led to Stephanie beginning to lean on Theo for support. The two ended up drinking together and discussing their respective problems. Ultimately, Theo walked an intoxicated Stephanie home. While nothing romantic has happened between them yet, it’s clear that we could see that in the near future if things keep progressing as they have.
After all, Stephanie and Theo may need to rely on each other more than ever right now. Theo has just lost his mother. Joy has developed spinal stenosis and has been hospitalized. Stephanie then moved out so that Alex could care for Kelsey at their apartment — as Joy doesn’t want Kelsey around Stephanie at all. Now, Stephanie is staying at Jada Hunter’s (Elia Cantu).
Furthermore, as Days of Our Lives spoilers hinted, Alex and Stephanie have both seen the other in rather intimate embraces with other people. Stephanie saw Alex comforting Joy after Joy learned she needed surgery. Meanwhile, Alex saw Stephanie resting her head on Theo’s shoulder after she became lightheaded after donating blood.
Clearly, this married couple has been going through quite a lot of drama. Are they going to figure out a way to make their relationship work? Or is Stephanie going to keep turning to Theo?

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Will Theo Become More Than Just Stephanie’s Friend?
While these new DOOL spoilers don’t hint that anything romantic is going to happen between Theo and Stephanie, it’s clear there’s a pattern going on. Anytime Stephanie feels pushed aside by Alex, she turns to Theo. She feels Theo is someone she can talk to.
Plus, Theo might need someone to talk to, as well, now that Lexi Carver (Nikki Crawford) has passed away. He’s in a vulnerable place and still mourning her loss. Therefore, it’s entirely possible that Stephanie and Theo could find mutual comfort with each other… and perhaps this comfort could turn to something romantic.
However, other Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Alex is doing his best to make his marriage work. On Thursday, he arranges some alone time with Stephanie by getting Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) to watch Kelsey. This occurs after Stephanie seeks out Theo.
It looks like we’ll have to wait and see if this interesting connection between Theo and Stephanie continues… or if Alex puts a stop to it.
