Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) assures Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) that he will never agree to the terms set by Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
Previously on DOOL, Joy basically told Alex he had to choose between his wife and his daughter, Kelsey. Joy refused to sign their proposed co-parenting agreement until Alex agreed to her demands. Now, it looks like Stephanie is learning all about Joy’s latest threat.
And we can guess she’s not going to be too thrilled about it.
Joy Doesn’t Want Kelsey Near Stephanie
Recently on DOOL, Joy returned to Salem with Kelsey and a huge revelation that Alex was her baby’s father. By the time Joy returned with Kelsey, Alex and Stephanie were married. Now, Alex will forever be connected to Joy, thanks to the child they share… and whether Stephanie likes it or not.
The situation between these three became dangerous when a still-recovering Stephanie — she was stalked and kidnapped not too long ago, people! — mistook Joy for an intruder after she took a sleeping pill… and then fired a gun. Though no one was hurt, Joy immediately questioned whether Kelsey was truly safe around Stephanie.
Since then, Joy hasn’t been comfortable with her daughter being around Alex’s wife. As previous Days of Our Lives spoilers hinted at, now Joy is going to legally seek a way to keep Kelsey from Stephanie, thereby forcing Alex to choose whether he wants to spend more time with his wife or his daughter.
This week, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) addressed Kelsey’s birth certificate, the Kiriakis family trust, their wills, and a custody agreement with Alex and Joy. However, before signing over any custody agreement, Joy had demands of her own.
Joy demanded that Alex could only see Kelsey if Stephanie wasn’t physically present. She also stated that if she died, she didn’t want Stephanie to raise Kelsey. This led to Alex refusing to separate from his wife, just so he could have equal custody of Kelsey over the next 18 years of her life.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Alex Reassures Stephanie
According to these new spoilers, Alex is ready to reassure his wife over Joy’s latest demands. However, even though Alex has disagreed with Joy, this doesn’t mean that the custody of Kelsey has been settled. It clearly hasn’t — and it doesn’t look like it will be anytime soon, as Joy has claimed she won’t sign any agreement until her restrictions are understood and agreed upon.
Joy seems determined to get her way, as new Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday also indicate that she will seek out Belle Black (Martha Madison) for legal advice. Belle now might find herself in a tricky situation, as Stephanie vented to her about her marriage not too long ago. Is a custody battle in the courtroom in the near future for Joy and Alex?
So, how will Alex manage to get out of this one? Especially after Joy’s very real concern about Stephanie following the gun incident?
