Currently on Days of Our Lives, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) are going through something of a rough patch.
Stephanie is still struggling to come to terms with all the trauma she faced when Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey) stalked and kidnapped her. Though Owen is behind bars and Stephanie is safe — with an improperly stored gun and all! — Stephanie is still trying to readjust to her life.
Right after she was able to return home from the hospital, even more drama came her way when Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) returned to Salem… with Alex’s baby daughter! Alex wants to be a part of his daughter’s life, no matter what. Stephanie, however, has already told her husband that she’s not ready to be a stepmother, not after all that she’s been through.

Should Alex and Stephanie Stay Together on DAYS?
Alex and Stephanie have been through quite a lot together over the years. Even when it looked like they wouldn’t make it, they would reunite and confess their love to each other. Alex feels like he’s a much better man since he met and fell in love with Stephanie.
In fact, Alex believes he can now be a good father to little Kelsey because of Stephanie. Stephanie has made him a trustworthy man. Stephanie also feels that Alex needs to be a part of Kelsey’s life, and though she’s been shocked by Joy’s reappearance, Stephanie has pushed Alex to be a father to his daughter.
She just isn’t ready to be a mother, something she’s said time and time again. Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that this isn’t about to change, even though Stephanie and Alex do still love each other. Stephanie is so uncomfortable with the idea that when she first met baby Kelsey, she quickly left. She couldn’t bear to be around the child.
Clearly, there’s going to be a lot in store for Alex and Stephanie in the near future. Alex may become closer to Joy, the mother of his child, which is only natural. But will Alex and Joy find themselves returning to their romantic relationship… especially if Stephanie continues to push her husband away?
Meanwhile, Stephanie has a long road to recovery ahead of her. She’s recently been majorly bonding with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) at the gun range… and improperly storing her gun in her apartment. Will Stephanie come to terms with what has happened to her, as well as the fact that Alex is now a father? Or are we about to witness the end of Alex and Stephanie’s marriage?
