DAYS Spoilers: Abe Must Come to a Decision About Paulina & Lexie

Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) may soon need to come to a decision about his love life. Will he choose to be with his current wife, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), or will he choose his recently resurrected wife, Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford)?

Recently on DOOL, Abe was shocked when Lexie crashed Stefano DiMera’s will reading. After getting over his initial shock, Abe has become delighted that Lexie has returned to him. So far, Lexie has been recovering greatly, with no health complications. Though Abe isn’t too happy that his son, Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews), has known about this secret, he’s too thrilled with having Lexie back that everything has gone rather swimmingly.

Other than his relationship with Paulina, that is. Paulina is beside herself with grief now that Lexie is back. She knows that Lexie was the great love of Abe’s life. Though Paulina and Abe have managed to create a lovely relationship of their own, Paulina feels that she cannot compare to Lexie. Is she correct?

So far, Abe hasn’t made any decision about who he wants to spend his life with. However, he might soon have to. Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that Theo urges Abe to stop avoiding a decision on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Will Theo push for Abe to reunite with his mother, Lexie? Or will Abe choose Paulina?

Should Abe Be With Lexie or Paulina on DOOL?

There’s never been any couple like Abe and Lexie on DOOL. There are a few supercouples that everyone loves on the Peacock soap opera. Abe and Lexie have long been one of those couples, and Lexie’s death decades ago has remained one of the saddest deaths seen in Salem.

It’s a miracle that she’s back. However, this doesn’t seem to mean that Abe is returning to be her husband. Recently, Abe told EJ Dimera (Daniel Feuerriegel) that, just because Lexie was back from the dead, this didn’t mean that he was leaving Paulina for her. Paulina is his wife.

Paulina doesn’t seem to think so, even though she hasn’t really been able to talk to Abe for longer than a few minutes here and there. These new Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Abe and Paulina might need to have an honest discussion about what their future looks like. It’s clear that Abe loves both Lexie and Paulina. After all, Paulina is the one who showed him that he could love again after Lexie’s death.

Lexie, meanwhile, is feeling rather awful about the idea of Abe moving on and falling in love with another woman. Clearly, there’s going to be major drama for all parties involved. Who Abe chooses could impact so many people, such as Theo, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), and Lani Price (Sal Stowers).

Though these new spoilers hint that Theo wants his father to make a decision, this doesn’t mean that Abe actually will. After all, Lexie is still in the hospital. She might not be fully out of the woods yet. Plus, how could Abe make such a monumental decision, just like that? No, the drama will likely only continue to unfold…
