Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) hears disturbing news from his father, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. This distressing conversation occurs in the same episode in which Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) says goodbye.
Therefore, could Johnny learn about Lexie’s condition from his father… and how he’s helping Lexie die again without her family by her side?
EJ’s Many Secrets Threaten to Get Out
Currently on DAYS, EJ is involved with many different storylines — and many of his secrets have begun to close in on him. Most recently, Lexie was revealed to be alive earlier this year after EJ and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf were able to bring her back to life by using a medical pod.
Her miraculous return gave her husband, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), and her son, Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews), an unexpected second chance with her. However, the treatment that brought her back to life ended up not being a permanent cure. Days of Our Lives spoilers have even recently revealed that she now has only days left to live.
When Lexie was helping Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) escape from EJ, her condition worsened, and she collapsed. It appears as if we might be seeing the final episodes of Lexie.
But Lexie isn’t the only dangerous secret EJ is keeping. The ongoing drama with Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) poisoning continues to keep EJ and Johnny from seeing eye to eye. In July, Johnny confronted EJ about planting pills in Holly’s bag. EJ admitted to doing this — and all so he could plant evidence on Holly that would divert attention away from the Coriseal cover-up.
While Johnny understood why EJ had to do this, he wasn’t happy. Johnny and EJ’s relationship is now barely hanging on — especially after Johnny became convinced that DiMera Pharmaceuticals might be responsible for his wife’s cancer diagnosis.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Does Johnny Learn About Lexie?
These latest spoilers hint that Johnny hears something horrible from his father… and we can’t help but think it has to do with Lexie’s potential exit. It looks like Lexie is set to leave the canvas yet again — and all without Abe realizing that he’s about to lose the love of his life again.
How will Johnny handle learning yet another devastating family secret? After all, EJ knows that Lexie is dying, while Abe and Theo don’t. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) has already confronted EJ about everything he’s been doing recently, and also warned him to stop dragging Johnny into all of his messes.
Though these new Days of Our Lives spoilers for August 5 don’t directly state that EJ tells Johnny about Lexie, it seems highly likely. If EJ tells his son that Lexie is dying again — or if she has already died — then Johnny may continue to question whether his father is truly trying to do what is right by the family.
Johnny may also have a problem with the lack of information Abe and Theo have about Lexie. Could EJ ask to keep all of Lexie’s problems a secret — and let her die away from her loved ones, as is her wish? Johnny definitely won’t like keeping this secret from Abe and Theo… and if his father asks him to, Johnny may decide once and for all that he needs to put distance between himself and his father. Again.
