Recently on Days of Our Lives, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) gave his daughter, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), a gun. Before taking her to the gun range to help her learn how to shoot, Steve carefully explained to Stephanie that she needed to always keep her gun in a safe and not loaded. Stephanie assured her father she would… and then, when he left, she immediately did the opposite.
As a result, Stephanie is now living with a loaded gun not tucked away in a safe. Stephanie feels safer having it around and easy to get if something terrible were to happen. After all, she just recently returned home after being stalked and kidnapped by Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey).
However, this is a soap opera. It’s clear that this gun lying out, not in a safe, is going to come back and be a major problem for Stephanie. How could it not?
As a result, we can’t help but ask: who will Stephanie end up shooting by accident? Already, these Days of Our Lives rumors have hit social media, and many fans have speculated on where this storyline could go if Stephanie indeed shoots someone. Let’s speculate on what could happen!
Is Stephanie Johnson About to Accidentally Shoot Someone?
Stephanie has been understandably on edge since returning home. Since she got her new gun, she’s felt much better. In fact, she’s even sleeping through the night! Plus, she’s been able to connect with her husband, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), something she struggled to do immediately after she was saved.
Of course, that was before she learned that Alex had a daughter with Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins). That revelation has been a real blow to her marriage. Though Stephanie has made progress coming to terms with what has happened to her, she’s still struggling. Now that Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) is gone — one of the only people she felt she could talk with about her trauma — will she be able to continue to heal?
Though no Days of Our Lives spoilers hint at Stephanie actually shooting someone, rumors are running rampant that she does. If this does happen, who does she shoot? It will almost certainly be an accident. Let’s list some potential victims.
We know it’s not going to be Jeremy, as he has left town. Could Stephanie accidentally shoot her husband, Alex? Maybe she hears him coming home and thinks it’s an intruder? After all, Owen hasn’t been tried and convicted yet for kidnapping her… and we already know that prisoners have escaped the Salem jail before. Could Stephanie be on edge if Owen escapes?
There’s also Joy to think of. While it’s a long shot, Stephanie could accidentally shoot Joy. Maybe she thinks Joy is someone else and makes a huge mistake. Regardless of who the potential victim is, Stephanie will be in a world of drama on Days of Our Lives if she does indeed make this mistake.
That’s if we truly see her shoot someone, though. But as she’s leaving her gun out, a dramatic storyline involving her gun will almost certainly play out, won’t it?
