Beyond the Gates spoilers confirm that Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones) befriends Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) on Friday, August 7, 2026. This latest development comes as Heather — aka The Impaler — has returned to town, looking to tie up some loose ends.
Heather has already caused quite a lot of drama since coming to Fairmont Crest. As The Impaler, the crime lord behind the blood plasma operation, she’s even caused death. Though Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) knows the truth — that his sister is The Impaler — nobody else knows the real identity of the crime lord.
Perhaps most importantly is the fact that Joey has kept this secret from Vanessa.
It looks like Heather is going to stick around for a bit. So, what could she want from Vanessa and Dani? Is she about to potentially put this duo in danger?
Heather Reaches Out to Vanessa
When Heather was first introduced on BTG, she was immediately revealed as The Impaler. She wanted to join forces with Joey and combine their illegal enterprises. Why couldn’t the two criminals work together? Joey, however, didn’t like the idea and rejected her. While he later admitted to Vanessa that his mysterious, long-lost sister had returned, he didn’t tell his love who, exactly, Heather was.
Heather left for a few weeks after this rejection, only to return in early July. As previous Beyond the Gates spoilers hinted at, Heather told Joey that she was back to handle some unfinished business. This is when she first met Vanessa. Though Heather initially toyed with Vanessa about who she really was, she eventually confessed that she and Joey were siblings.
Once Vanessa learned who Heather was, the entire situation became much less hostile. Vanessa tried to reach out to Heather then, even offering to have dinner together, but Heather turned her down. Joey then warned Vanessa that his younger sister could not be trusted.
Now, however, it appears that Heather is back… and perhaps willing to bond with Vanessa. She’s clearly looking to connect with Vanessa and Dani. Could she bring the two ladies into danger as a result?
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Heather, Vanessa, and Dani Bond
While these new spoilers hint that a new friendship may form between this unexpected trio, it doesn’t explain what Heather may want from said friendship. After all, this is The Impaler we’re talking about. There’s no way she doesn’t have an agenda, right?
Vanessa is obviously close to Joey. Though these Beyond the Gates spoilers don’t hint that Heather is using her to get information on her brother and his business operations, that could very much be possible. Heather also might be testing Vanessa to see just what Joey told her about her identity.
Then, there’s Dani. Dani and Vanessa’s friendship has managed to stay strong, even though Dani hasn’t been the greatest of supporters of Vanessa and Joey’s relationship. Could Heather be befriending both ladies in an attempt to be seen as less threatening? Is her quest to bond with them honest… or a part of her criminal schemes? After all, this is the woman who initially returned to town to kill Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning).
Joey’s secrets about his sister could, of course, come back to haunt him. If Vanessa and Dani learn just how dangerous Heather is, they could be upset that Joey didn’t accurately warn them about what his sister is capable of.
We don’t know just how far Heather is going to go now that she’s back in Fairmont Crest. So, is Heather’s attempt to bond with Vanessa and Dani calculated… or truly sincere?
