Recently on B&B, Carter has been trying to process what his wife, Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire), has learned about his health — and about how this could impact their plans to start a family.
Clearly, Carter needs someone to talk to. Will Steffy become his new confidante as he struggles to come to terms with this new twist in his marriage?
Carter and Daphne Struggle With New Medical Diagnosis
Earlier this year, Carter and Daphne wed during an impromptu wedding and, very quickly, decided that they wanted to start a family as newlyweds. Unfortunately, that dream of having a child immediately has crashed to the ground.
Previously on the CBS soap, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) diagnosed Daphne with premature ovarian insufficiency. This diagnosis has been why Daphne and Carter have struggled to conceive. Daphne has been devastated by the news — and may continue to resist alternatives to building a family with Carter, such as adoption, surrogacy, or egg donation.
New Bold and the Beautiful spoilers hint that Carter needs support. While he has tried his best to reassure Daphne that their marriage — and her health — remains his number one priority, he’s clearly processing the loss of the future that he thought they’d have.
Now, it looks like he’s heading to Steffy for some advice. That’s not too much of a surprise. After all, Steffy is friends with both Daphne and Carter. Daphne approached Steffy first about how much having a child meant to her and Carter — and how destroyed she was when she first received her diagnosis. Therefore, Steffy knows all too well just how this diagnosis has hurt Daphne.

Carter has been a rock of support for Daphne as she struggles to come to terms with her new future. Now, when Daphne isn’t there to hear him, just what will Carter confess to Steffy? He clearly needs to talk with someone about this. Steffy could help him process the diagnosis in ways that Carter may have felt he couldn’t as he tried to reassure his wife.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to learn that Carter is trying to remain strong for Daphne… yet is privately mourning what he thought their future would be. Steffy might be able to give Carter the chance to acknowledge this.
These new Bold and the Beautiful spoilers hint that Carter needs to lean on someone. That someone is going to be Steffy. Daphne is lashing out, refusing to even consider other paths to parenthood. Steffy might point out to Carter that his wife needs time to come to terms with her diagnosis. She might just need some time.
Clearly, Steffy is going to become someone Carter can rely on during this difficult period. That matters greatly, as Carter will definitely need a friend to lean on if his marriage continues to feel strained because of this diagnosis. If only Steffy had a friend she could rely on about her own marriage problems…
