BTG spoilers hint that there might be some trouble brewing between Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) and Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) after Shanice sees a rather intimate moment between Ted and his ex-wife, Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix).
So far, Shanice and Ted have managed to work out the issues they’ve had in their relationship. Both of them have some baggage, yet they’ve been honest with each other. There’s a real connection between them, and they want to see where this romance might go.
Meanwhile, Nicole has also moved on since her marriage to Ted ended in disaster. Instead of settling down with one man, Nicole has chosen to date both Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley) and Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan). Nicole likes both men and hasn’t felt the need to choose between the two of them, at the moment.
However, some of these new spoilers hint that change may indeed be headed for Nicole and Ted. Official BTG spoilers confirm that on Thursday, April 30, 2026, Shanice is hurt when she catches Ted and Nicole having a close moment. Could this moment result in the end of the romance Shanice and Ted have formed? Could it signal that maybe there are still some feelings between Nicole and Ted?
Are Nicole and Ted Going to Get Back Together on Beyond the Gates?
Shanice has been very understanding with Ted about Nicole — and, for that matter, Nicole has been very understanding with Ted about Shanice. Recently, Nicole even waltzed into Ted’s office wanting to talk about their son, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), interrupting his moment with Shanice. When she saw Shanice there, she immediately apologized and left.
Shanice understood, just as she continues to understand that there will always be love between Ted and Nicole. After all, they were married for decades. They have adult children. They will always be in each other’s lives, even though their marriage ended horrendously.
However, could these new spoilers hint that Nicole and Ted might find their way back to each other? Other BTG spoilers also indicate that Kat Richardson (Colby Nixon) and Martin plot with each other to help Ted and Nicole on Friday, May 1, 2026. On this same day, Nicole and Ted celebrate their wedding anniversary and share warm memories with each other.
So, it looks like we’ll see an awful lot of Nicole and Ted this week. Kat clearly would like to see her parents back together, and it looks like Martin may join in on whatever plan she has to see this happen.
Even if Nicole and Ted don’t reunite, this doesn’t mean that Shanice will be okay with whatever is going on with them. She’s clearly hurt by whatever she sees between them this week. She may decide that this is all too much for her… or she may feel that, regardless of what Ted says, he’s still not over his ex.
Regardless of how this all turns out, it’s clear that Ted and Nicole’s relationship may continue to bring drama to all involved…
