Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that EJ DiMera may have one thing go right in the near future. EJ has desperately wanted to reconnect with his son, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), but Johnny hasn’t been too keen about the idea. Now, however, it appears that all might change.
On Thursday, April 2, 2026, EJ is thrilled when Johnny asks for his help. Last week, we saw the father-son duo take one small step to reconnect, as EJ showed up to help Johnny and his wife Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) during their court hearing to adopt their son, Trey.
Chanel and Johnny spoke about EJ coming to the rescue… and they didn’t hate the idea, even though there’s still a lot of raw emotions revolving around their relationship with EJ.
However, now it appears that Johnny is willing to have his father back in his life, to some extent. But will EJ mess it up?
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: EJ Wants to Be in Johnny’s Life
It’s no secret that EJ would like to be in his son’s life. Now, after Johnny asks for his help, EJ might get what he wants.
Chances are, this little request has something to do with Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd). Sophia has made things incredibly difficult for Chanel and Johnny for a while now. Things aren’t likely to change now that Chanel and Johnny have officially adopted her child.
Sophia has also decided that she’s not going to return to Bayview Sanitarium, even though she probably should. Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that she might regret this decision, as she has to answer for the many things she’s done in the past few weeks and months.
For example, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) isn’t going to be happy at what Sophia set up her daughter to do…
Now that Sophia’s out of Bayview, Johnny and Chanel aren’t feeling the safest, and they’re very worried that she might do something to their son, Trey. Johnny has already referenced asking EJ to protect his own grandson.
There’s no doubt that EJ will agree and go out of his way to keep his family safe. Now, we’ll just have to see if he’s successful — and if EJ and Johnny will begin to reconnect and form a new father-son relationship.
