Recently on Days of Our Lives, a few good old Salem residents discussed how Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) never had a child of their own, even though Stefano was obsessed with Marlena for years and did everything in his power to convince her to be with him.
Alas, it was never to be, as once Marlena found the love of her life in John Black (Drake Hogestyn), it was Marlena and John against the world. Not that Stefano didn’t try, of course.
Talk of a Marlena-Stefano child came about right before all of the DiMeras gathered together for Stefano’s final will reading. Marlena was invited, which was surprising, because she had never had a child with Stefano and despises the villain. We all know that those two never had a kid. So, why would the soap opera bring this up?
All of this talk has fans, well, talking. Days of Our Lives rumors are flying about. Could these conversations be hinting that Marlena and Stefano truly did have a child that’s been hidden from Marlena all these years?

Now, there is no evidence or any spoilers that confirm that a child of Marlena’s and Stefano’s will suddenly pop up. This is all just speculation based on how some of the storylines and conversations on the Peacock soap opera have played out recently!
Marlena at first wasn’t going to go to Stefano’s will reading, as she doesn’t want to be terrorized by the man even in death. However, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) needled her into going, and Marlena learned that Stefano left her and John a chess set with only a queen and a pawn piece. Classic Stefano.
Marlena left before she got to see what Days of Our Lives spoilers have been hinting at for ages: the reveal that Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) is alive. However, the show did briefly linger on that chess set, and Belle Black (Martha Madison) questioned her mother on whether there might have been a secret message from Stefano attached to those pieces.
Marlena doesn’t care. However, we do! Could this chess set hint that there really is a secret child of Marlena and Stefano’s out there? One that Marlena never knew about? Stefano was an evil mastermind. So, it’s not putting it past him to somehow create their baby with the help of Dr. Rolf and others. Crazier things have happened in Salem, after all.
Fans are already pretty divided on social media about these Days of Our Lives rumors. Many don’t want there to be a secret Marlena-Stefano child. However, others want to see how this drama could play out. So far, all of this is just speculation!
