Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) is continuing to struggle after her terrifying kidnapping by Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey). Though she has finally returned home from the hospital — and though she has faced Owen himself and slapped him — Stephanie is still haunted by all the madman did to her.
Now, signs are pointing to Stephanie struggling to connect and feel safe around her husband, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Stephanie feels uneasy around Alex. Meanwhile, later in the week, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) encourages Stephanie to open up to Alex.
Alex has been by Stephanie’s side since she was saved. He only wants the best for her. However, it appears that Owen Kent may remain a thorn in this couple’s side for the foreseeable future.
Stephanie Struggles After Owen’s Kidnapping
Stephanie and Alex should be in newlywed bliss. After all, the two just got married, they’re happily in love, and other than Owen, they don’t have any major drama to think of.
Unfortunately, Owen’s stalking and kidnapping have left Stephanie in a very vulnerable place. So far, she’s been open with Alex, even confessing that at first she didn’t want to wear the ring he gave her because of what she experienced. Alex has been more than understanding through everything.
However, he has seen how much she’s hurting, as have her friends and family. Her father, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), has been beside himself with worry over her mental state. He recently told Stephanie’s mother, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans), that he was very worried that their daughter was in a very dark place.
New Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Stephanie might not be getting better anytime soon. As she struggles to come to terms with all Owen did to her, who will she lean on?
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Stephanie Feels Uneasy Around Alex
Stephanie has felt a bit uneasy around Alex since she was saved. Previously on DOOL, we saw a bit of this — and how Alex helped her through any pain she was feeling. Stephanie has been working towards getting better and wants to be okay.
However, these latest Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that she seeks professional help from Marlena after she feels uneasy around Alex. Marlena encourages Stephanie to speak from her heart and open up to her husband.
But will Stephanie truly feel at peace when she talks things over with Alex? Or will she gain better help if she talks to Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark), the man who experienced all of this trauma beside her?
