Bold and the Beautiful spoilers hint that Steffy Forrester has found herself in a more complicated position than simply deciding whether or not she still loves her husband, Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). Clearly, Steffy still loves Finn… but she has to decide whether she can ever believe him and trust him again.

Steffy and Finn’s latest marital struggles come after Finn didn’t invite Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) to Monaco. However, Sheila secretly obtained his travel information — and then surprised him on the flight. Finn initially told her to get off the plane. However, once he was stuck traveling with his biological mother, he let it be… and ended up not telling Steffy about it.

Once Steffy discovered that Sheila was in Monaco, Finn acknowledged that he had known she was there all along… and then argued that his birth mother had changed.

For Steffy, this moment destroyed her. Now, will her marriage to Finn be able to get back on track?

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Steffy Doesn’t Trust Finn

Let’s first take a look at these official B&B spoilers for August 19, 2026: Steffy grapples with fully trusting Finn again. Clearly, in the middle of the week, we’re still dealing with the marital fallout of Sheila’s arrival in Monaco.

The official wording of these new Bold and the Beautiful spoilers is key, as they don’t confirm that Steffy forgives Finn. She’s not about to take him back, especially if she cannot fully trust him — something we saw her explain on Monday’s episode. Steffy has already stated that she doesn’t know if their marriage will last.

After all, she took off her wedding ring and gave it to Finn. Plus, she’s finding a friend in none other than Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor)…

Finn, meanwhile, wants to fight for their marriage and is desperate for Steffy to forgive him. On Tuesday, Finn tries to make amends with his estranged wife. Clearly, he wants Steffy back. But can his apology truly repair all of the damage that he’s caused?

Sheila Will Always Be a Problem

Steffy’s lack of trust in Finn didn’t begin in Monaco. In many ways, this has been a long time coming. Back in 2022, Sheila shot both Steffy and Finn. Though Sheila has supposedly changed her murderous, crazy ways, Steffy can never forgive her for what she has put her family through.

As a result, Steffy has always been resistant to Sheila reentering their lives, even if she has changed. Meanwhile, back in 2024, Steffy told Finn that he had to choose between his marriage to her and his birth mother — as, once again, Sheila was trying to insert herself into their lives. Finn chose Steffy and their family. However, his connection to his biological mother has never completely disappeared.

That leads us to these new Bold and the Beautiful spoilers. This summer, this consistent drama between Sheila, Steffy, and Finn was back in full force. Finn does believe that Sheila has changed. While he has understood Steffy not wanting her back in their lives or around her children, Finn has suggested allowing Sheila into their lives slightly — to not make her as dangerous.

Steffy was aghast at this idea, and promptly refused. Steffy doesn’t believe that Sheila could have even a small opening in their family, as she’ll just abuse it.

Finn and Steffy’s marriage crisis has only continued, as these new Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal. Finn knew exactly how Steffy felt about Sheila before Monaco.

For those who have been watching B&B, this split between Steffy and Finn feels a bit like a long time coming. Though the two love each other, Finn has a blind spot where his biological mother is concerned. Now, that blind spot has potentially cost him his marriage to the woman he loves.

Steffy feels she can no longer trust Finn, according to these new Bold and the Beautiful spoilers. Can she truly forgive Finn — who is clearly very sorry and knows that he made a huge mistake — and know that he will be able to handle Sheila differently the next time she ignores a boundary? Which she’s almost certain to do, as this is Sheila Carter?

After all, Finn had an opportunity to tell Steffy all about what happened on his flight. It wasn’t his fault that Sheila showed up. He chose not to tell his wife — and that was a huge mistake.

Now, that mistake really could cost him his marriage, especially as Steffy has already had quite an interesting moment with Carter. The two, both broken-hearted over the apparent end of their marriages, appear to be ready to find comfort with each other!
