On Beyond the Gates, Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix) and Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) are doing their very best to move on. So far, they’ve been rather successful. While Ted has found an unexpected, yet lovely, new romance with Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson), Nicole is dating both Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley) and Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan).
However, just because Nicole and Ted are doing their very best to find romance with others doesn’t mean that they’re truly over for good. Yes, Ted cheated on Nicole and had a whole other child outside of his marriage. This all recently came back to blow up in his face. When Nicole learned the truth, she rightly felt betrayed and divorced him.
But now… Doesn’t it seem as if the two keep on circling around each other? They’re friends now, and they’ve even gone so far as to talk about their relationships with each other. Ted even gave Nicole advice about Carlton, his best friend! So, could BTG be hinting that Nicole and Ted might get back together?
So far, there haven’t been any Beyond the Gates spoilers to hint that they will, indeed, find their way back to each other. However, it does look like their children, Kat Richardson (Colby Nixon) and Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), go out of their way to help their parents celebrate their anniversary…
Will Nicole & Ted Reunite? Vote in Our Poll!
There are clearly still feelings between Nicole and Ted. After all, they were married for decades and have two adult children. Even though they’ve both moved on, they will always love one another and care for each other.
Could these lingering emotions push them to reunite romantically? Let’s remember how betrayed Nicole felt when she learned the truth about Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle). Though Nicole has managed to forgive all involved — somewhat — that doesn’t mean that she will ever be able to trust Ted enough to be in a romantic relationship with him again.
However, Beyond the Gates spoilers do hint that the two will celebrate their wedding anniversary together this week. In fact, their moments this week might even make Shanice feel uncomfortable. Therefore, it’s not totally out of left field to wonder if the powers that be over at BTG are slowly hinting that a Nicole-Ted reunion is on the way.
