Young and the Restless spoilers hint that we might begin to see Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) take the first step in the long road to a reunion — and all because of Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) illness.
Recently on Y&R, Lily has been beside herself with worry over Malcolm’s illness. She hasn’t even had time to really process the fact that she has a brother — Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) — as she has been so focused on finding a match for Malcolm’s bone marrow treatment.
Unfortunately for the Winters family, no one was a match. Then, Cane learned about what was going on and told Lily he’d get tested to see if he was a match. On Monday, we learned that he was!
Official Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Lily shares promising news with Stephanie and Holden. This is most certainly about Cane being a match, isn’t it? Will Cane very quickly undergo the bone marrow surgery and save Malcolm’s life?
Cane Saves Malcolm’s Life on Y&R
Things haven’t been great for Cane and Lily recently — for obvious reasons. The previously married couple has been through a great many lows and, for a brief second there, it looked like too much had happened between them. It almost appeared as if they would never find their way back to each other.
Of course, this is Cane and Lily we’re talking about. Though Cane told Lily he would never fight to win her back after she let Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) “kidnap” her and their kids, Cane quickly went back on his word and told her that he would always want to be with her. Lily has continued to say that she wants nothing to do with Cane.
However, now, that might all change. After all, Cane is undergoing a risky surgery to save Malcolm’s life. These Young and the Restless spoilers hint that things may go well for Cane and Malcolm. As a result, does this mean that Lily may begin to forgive Cane for all his wrongs?
Though Lily has had a few romances since she and Cane divorced, Cane is still the love of her life. The two share children and have a very long, very beloved history. Cane is fighting to reunite with Lily, but Lily has kept him at a distance because of how he has hurt her in the past.
Now, though, we may begin to see the two stop hating each other after Cane saves Malcolm. Of course, there will likely still be drama for the two, even if they reunite romantically. After all, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has already warned Lily of what Cane’s intentions really are.
So, will Lily and Cane be able to reunite once Cane saves Malcolm’s life?
