Beyond the Gates spoilers hint that things don’t look peachy for Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) as he seeks to bring down the illegal plasma harvesting ring running out of Garland Memorial Hospital.
Recently on BTG, Jacob has been working with Bradley ‘Smitty’ Smith (Mike Manning) to find out who the ringleader is behind this criminal enterprise. Though Jacob has been pressing Grayson Perez (Jordi Vilasuso), who is working for this ringleader, he has been unsuccessful so far. However, after Smitty’s illegal tampering with Nicole Dupree’s (Daphnee Duplaix) work laptop, Jacob has a few different leads.
But that might not matter now that Smitty’s actions have caused alarm throughout the hospital. Nicole knows he was in her office the same day that someone used her laptop. Dr. Lia Whitmore (Cecelia Specht) is also aware of this breach — and isn’t too happy about it.
Official Beyond the Gates spoilers confirm that Jacob gets taught a rough lesson on Thursday, April 16, 2026. This could mean that Smitty’s actions have detrimental consequences for all involved.

Jacob has been in danger since he decided to take on this undercover assignment. However, these recent spoilers hint that things could get much worse for him — and likely because of Smitty, who is working alongside him as an investigative journalist.
On Friday, April 17, 2026, official Beyond the Gates spoilers reveal that Jacob’s wife, Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit), is at a loss. Naomi has been greatly struggling ever since her husband has been working on this undercover case. These spoilers could be hinting at how she continues to miss him — and worry about his safety.
However, what if they’re hinting at something much more tragic? After all, only the day before, Jacob gets this rough lesson. Could Smitty’s recent actions truly put Jacob in a life-or-death situation? Can Jacob somehow manage to get out of this?
