Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) isn’t completely done with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) yet. But is Cane done with Phyllis?

On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Phyllis tempts Cane. Though the two aren’t on the greatest of terms — an understatement! — things have definitely changed for both of them in the past week. Cane has next to nothing now and feels completely betrayed by Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Meanwhile, Phyllis is also completely alone, as both of her children have basically said they want nothing to do with her. As a result of this loneliness, could Phyllis successfully tempt Cane into siding with her?

And is Phyllis tempting him with a job, to go after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), or in a more personal way?

Phyllis and Cane Have Nothing to Lose on Y&R

Recently on Y&R, we got to see how both Phyllis and Cane are in the same predicament. They have nothing save their careers. Their families have basically left them behind, leaving both of them heartbroken.

Now that Cane knows that Victor and Lily worked together during her “kidnapping” scheme, he wants nothing to do with Lily. He has also told Victor that he has nothing to lose — and that might make him rather dangerous.

Phyllis, meanwhile, is in the same place. She knows that Victor and all the Newmans are coming after her, for she is running Newman Enterprises, but she doesn’t seem to care. Everyone in town might be upset with her for how she got Newman Enterprises to begin with — let’s not forget what she did to Cane! — but Phyllis has taken it all in stride.

The new Young and the Restless spoilers could hint that, now that Phyllis and Cane have nothing to lose and no one in their corner, they might find their way back to each other.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Will Phyllis and Cane Team Up, Yet Again?

Though Phyllis and Cane have gone against each other more than once since Cane returned to Genoa City, there is something between them that continues to help them see eye to eye with each other. 

These Young and the Restless spoilers hint that this could happen again. After all, if Phyllis is looking to tempt Cane, this could mean that she wants to forgive and forget. Cane might not want to, of course.

It’ll be interesting to see in what way Phyllis tempts Cane. This could be a completely professional situation; maybe she encourages him to work with her at Newman. It could be more about their ongoing hatred for Victor. Or, it could be a temptation to return to their romantic past.

After all, Cane told Lily he was done with her. She broke his heart. So far, no Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Lily and Cane will work things out.
