Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) isn’t in the clear yet. In fact, the Newman son even finds himself in danger yet again now that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is back in town!
Recently on Y&R, Nick has been struggling to deal with his addiction. Now, his struggles are out in the open, and his family has learned that he has been abusing drugs ever since his car accident. His entire family is understandably worried about him — especially because he hasn’t gone to the treatment facility Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) recommended him.
He hasn’t really had the time to get clean and work through his addiction. Ever since he returned to Genoa City after his disastrous trip to Las Vegas, Nick and his family have been waiting for Matt Clark to reappear. They all knew he couldn’t be dead. Now, Matt is back with amnesia — and Nick wants to kill him.
Everyone in his family has told him he really shouldn’t be putting together this crazy plan to kill Matt Clark. Nick doesn’t seem to care. Official Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that Nick makes a dangerous deal on Friday, May 15, 2026. Will a struggling Nick bring even more chaos to his family’s life as he tries to bring down Matt, once and for all?
Nick vs Matt vs… Phyllis?
This latest spoiler is very interesting, to say the least. After all, the last time we saw Matt, he was hitting it off with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). At first, Phyllis had no idea who he was. But now, Phyllis has finally realized that the man she has been talking with is Matt Clark.
Phyllis is currently in a war with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Knowing Phyllis, she’ll use an amnesiac Matt to bring down Victor, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and the entire Newman clan if it means keeping Newman Enterprises — that is, Summers Conglomerate — for herself. After all, it wasn’t like Phyllis had a great conversation with Nick once he returned to town.
Phyllis is being backed into a corner and, just as Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) cautioned, when this happens, she begins to make very disastrous moves. As a result, these new Young and the Restless spoilers could be hinting that Nick makes a dangerous deal with Phyllis. After all, she’s currently the only one in town who knows where Matt Clark is!
So, could Nick and Phyllis strike a deal that allows Nick to take down Matt? If so, then this drama isn’t over yet. Nick is definitely going through it at the moment because of his addiction. He’s not thinking clearly. Phyllis may use this to her advantage by making a deal about Newman Enterprises with Nick.
Perhaps she’ll convince her ex, or even Victor, to stop the lawsuit by handing Matt over? Or is Phyllis about to get very dangerous with the Newmans in her attempt to keep the company she sees as rightfully hers?
